Yeah, I remember the strangest things sometimes from my childhood. I'll talk about it with family and they won't have a clue, but I remember it so clearly.

I have an older brother and I remember he constantly borrowed my things and when I got them back they'd be either broken, working but in worse condition or he'd lose it. It started when I was a kid, but it went on into my teens. I also had good friends who did the same thing. I must've been about 10 or 11. I remember lending a gameboy game to one of them. It was my favorite one and I was hesitant in the first place, but I hadn't been playing it lately so I let her borrow it for awhile. Several months later I ask for it back and she says she doesn't know where it is. I'm annoyed and I offer to help look for it. We tore the place apart looking for it. Eventually she tells me that she gave it back to me already. I told her she didn't because then I would have it. She then swears up and down that she gave it back. To this day I still have no idea where the game is, so I'm convinced she lost it. We stayed friends for awhile, but I was still pissed about it and never lent her anything again.

Same goes for my brother. The ones that really bother me with him are also video game related. I got a N64 for my birthday with Mario 64 and Zelda OoT. I've only had it for a few months when he borrows it. In the end, he loses it. Rather one of his friends sold it. He was in his 20s at the time and I was/am upset that he never replaced it. He did the same thing with my FFX game. Except he said he was going to replace it and he never did. I'm still annoyed with that. I was almost finished the game. I could've bought it multiple times as a Greatest Hits years later, but I'd get mad at the thought of re-buying it. It's stupid, I know. Sometimes I hope that one day he'll remember about all that stuff and gift it back to me, but I know that will never happen.

This is the most infuriating part of it all. It's like they think you won't remember if they pretend it didn't happen just because you were a child. >:(
