It came out a few years ago. It was part of a short story anthology. It's called 'Two Hearts' and is about a little girl whos' village is being attacked by a griphon. So she sets out alone to ask a certain someone for help, and runs into a few other familiar characters along the way :) Here's the link to it online, if you want to read it
