Man, I'm getting such a kick out of this. "Oh you guys, you just don't know how to use it. Here are all of these things that you have to do, and here's a secret way to search that the owners of the site don't tell you about, and here's an add-on that the owners of the site don't approve of but that you need to use in order to make it work correctly. Once you start utilizing all of these things, you'll see that it's not actually hard at all and that it's actually really great!"

You know what? If a platform is so confusing that someone feels the need to write a primer, and there are a bunch of people flailing and going "WTF is this shit," and there are all these random steps that you have to take in order to have a semi-coherent experience, then it's a really, really poorly designed platform. From the looks of things, it's a huge fucking mess.

But, hey, if you're one of the people who's managed to figure out how to have a good time with it, then that's cool for you, I guess.

Tumblr in a nutshell.

I gave up on my account and deleted it because of this. It was genuinely stressing me out having everything be so damn unintuitive, non-functional, non-standardized even within the very site itself and having navigation and organization be even below the level of an old Geocities website.
