(Anonymous) 2012-08-10 12:02 am (UTC)(link)Yes, many women in the books are forced to start a sexual life when they are not ready or willing. But others want it, and that shouldn't be a problem (Cersei and Jaime started really soon, Dany likes sex, Asha is quite proud of her sexuality and desires as well and she was probably like that when she was younger, etc etc etc).

(Anonymous) 2012-08-10 12:12 am (UTC)(link)Rape is wrong. Being forced into any sexual activity is wrong.
But I have problem when a young woman CHOOSES to have sex/expressed her sexuality, and everyone turns around and tells her she's 'confused' and she doesn't know what she's talking about. Don't people understand how demeaning that is to women? If teenage boy can choose to have sex, so can teenage girls. They are just as capable as any male their age.

(Anonymous) 2012-08-10 12:50 am (UTC)(link)What saddens me is that even feminists see a young woman DESIRING sex as a bad thing, apparently :/ being one myself, I get sad some people are so narrow minded.

(Anonymous) 2012-08-10 02:41 am (UTC)(link)But online, it's all name-calling and shaming people. It's really sad, I feel like these social networking sites are just bringing out the ugliest side of the feminist movement (and other social movements too).

(Anonymous) 2012-08-10 01:28 am (UTC)(link)When their main motive is MY BABIES BABIES BABIES?

(Anonymous) 2012-08-10 03:17 am (UTC)(link)And honestly they are MOTHERS. I'd be more annoyed if they didn't give a fuck about their children.

(Anonymous) 2012-08-10 03:46 am (UTC)(link)The same goes for Cersei, Catelyn and Lysa. They are much more complex than just BABIES. Even Catelyn, that clearly represents the Mother figure of the Seven... She stands out alone. She has more traits than her motherhood, more worries than her children (and it's perfectly understandable that she loves them so much, anyway).

Hi! I do. I really, really do, when it's barely pubescent boys and grown-ass adult women.

(Anonymous) 2012-08-10 04:50 am (UTC)(link)But unfortunately, that's not the majority opinion in Western society.

(Anonymous) 2012-08-10 05:36 am (UTC)(link)I'm personally okay with teen sexuality (at least older teens, it gets kinda squicky for me once they're any younger than 14, personally), but if somebody is going to decide that teen sexuality is immoral, they could at least have the decency to not have a huge double-standard between genders. Ugh, I hate hypocrites.

(Anonymous) 2012-08-10 09:18 am (UTC)(link)I don't want to read about it, period.
