Does this secret have a fandom in-joke, or was the op just being silly?

Re: orgasm question + venting

[personal profile] cassandraoftroy 2012-08-11 02:39 am (UTC)(link)
This is normal. I was never comfortable enough with my first boyfriend to let myself orgasm, and with my current boyfriend, the first couple of times we had sex, he wasn't able to get off. We got the hang of it after a few tries together, though. The important thing is being comfortable with one another. Relax, watch a movie or something, don't try to force it. Try masturbating together, just to get used to orgasming around one another. Then start helping each other, and eventually work up to taking over for one another.

Eh, it's pretty vanilla all things considered. I've read much, much worse.

Oh, only about most of them.

Re: Hair washing question

[personal profile] darkmanifest 2012-08-11 02:41 am (UTC)(link)
I've got kinky longish hair that never gets greasy (I have to oil and condition pretty heavily to fight off dryness because I use heat methods to straighten it), so unless I've been sweating a ton over a couple of days and could do with a refreshing rinse, I wash it once or twice a week. In cold winters, I've been able to wash it only twice a month. Everyone's head is different.

Re: I wish I could actually fly in my dreams

(Anonymous) 2012-08-11 02:41 am (UTC)(link)
It's kind of cool, but I have to run and take off by flapping my arms, so it just seems like a lot of work. XD I prefer the dreams I have where it's like there's low gravity and I can just jump/take leaping steps. So much more fun.

I've never flown in my dreams (like a bird or a plane or whatever) but I have had dreams where I'm standing and floating really high above everything... that's a weird feeling

Hmm, doing something like that would be hard unless I had a free week where I wouldn't have to go out much.

Re: OP

(Anonymous) 2012-08-11 02:42 am (UTC)(link)
haha you don't want me to go into detail about my hygienic habits, so you're going to have to trust me on this one lol.

No underwear for a few hours a day? Does that work?

(Anonymous) 2012-08-11 02:43 am (UTC)(link)
I don't think it was right for him to kill her, but at the same time I don't really care that he did.

Shae was not a nice person. I don't blame her at all for turning on him, because she's just saving herself the only way she knows how. But she really didn't have to humiliate him to the extent that she did.

(Anonymous) 2012-08-11 02:43 am (UTC)(link)
Ugh, I know that feeling. I recently (at 28!) had a wisdom tooth decide to come in, and because my teeth are already so tight, it hurt so much and I could barely open my mouth at all. I was pretty much living on Ensure until I could get it removed.

Then when he took it out, I wanted to cry, apparently most teeth only have one root (sometimes two), mine had three, so it took him over half an hour, and I was like, clutching the chair and as stiff as a board. D:

I hope it's nothing serious, OP!

Re: OP

They obviously have some kind of emotional issues and they're not hurting anyone but themselves. If you perceive it as manipulative and don't want to encourage it that's your prerogative, but don't add to their problem. And even if they are doing this for attention who fucking cares? *Everyone* needs attention, it's not a crime, and if this person needs attention so terribly that they want to crack their head open, I'm going to take that as a cue to give them a little. Again, you don't have to do that, but you don't have to be an asshole about it either.

(Anonymous) 2012-08-11 02:45 am (UTC)(link)
And unlike Theon, he never actually killed a child

WOW that's bullshit. He let those kids be murdered and skinned, just because he didn't physically do it himself doesn't make him any less of a shitstain.

Re: Hair washing question

(Anonymous) 2012-08-11 02:45 am (UTC)(link)
6 days a week unless I'm going out every day, and then every day. I live in Texas so my hair is sweaty by the end of the day, and I work with kids so it's probably full of paint and boogers anyway lol
I try not to wash it both weekend days if I'm staying in one of the days, though, because I know it's not good for it to be washed so often. My hair gets way too gross to ever go more than a day without washing though.

No way. That's a dodged bullet, cornflakes suck.

Hot cereal is where it's at.

OP

(Anonymous) 2012-08-11 02:47 am (UTC)(link)
Um, really? Your lips don't jiggle? I'm honestly not that sensitive there, but I have no idea what would convince you of that.

Re: OP

(Anonymous) 2012-08-11 02:47 am (UTC)(link)
So, you don't think telling people who are trying to help you about how badly they're going to hurt/kill themselves, and they're not helping enough is assholish. Gotcha.

[personal profile] visp 2012-08-11 02:47 am (UTC)(link)
Yeah, that's the more eloquent version of what I meant.

When I do it I wear my hair up or tie it up in a bandana in that fifties kind of style.

Obvious troll

[personal profile] velvet_mace 2012-08-11 02:48 am (UTC)(link)
I dare you to actually write that (for difficulty factor, write it honest to god straight faced seriously. He genuinely does that, trufax and there's a plausible reason for it), then post it up on the kinkmeme. Then reap in the instantaneous fame and internets.

Re: Semi-kink kinda?

[personal profile] intrigueing 2012-08-11 02:48 am (UTC)(link)
Dude, this is one of the biggest non-sexual "kinks" in fandom. It's the basis of hurt/comfort and angst and whump fic. You are DEFINITELY not alone :)

And yeah, I totally understand. I like seeing characters suffer for completely non-sexual reasons, and non-sadistic reasons. I usually like it when it happens to my favorite characters too. And that physically almost-but-not-quite pain sensation? I'm pretty sure I know exactly what you mean. There's a little twist in my lower chest, in that little corner where my rib cage draws up to my sternum, like a fist with long nails is digging in and squeezing and twisting. Also, kinda goosebump-y feelings along my neck and shoulders and up into my skull. It may be a bit different for you, but yeah, like almost being in pain, but not exactly. Kind of like an echo or phantom of pain.

I know that sounds TMI, but it's the feeling I get when, like, Faith shot Angel with that poisoned arrow, or when Han was tortured in Empire Strikes Back, or Luke was electro-tortured in Return of the Jedi, or when Ron's leg was broken in Prisoner of Azkaban, or when Harry's arm was stabbed in Chamber of Secrets, or heck, even little things like that bit where Steve was blown out the Grand Central window and fell onto that car in the Avengers. Stuff like that.

No, that's really its body! Here is a link which has more information on the spider's habits, where it lives, and way more pictures of what it looks like from different angles. Egg sacs of spiders are usually just totally round, not bumpy like so. And I know it might be creepy in this size, but really they're only about 2mm to 5mm (at the very largest) big in real life, so if you ever did see it, it'd look more like, well...

This, actually.

lol yes the best thing about having a kindle is being able to read my fanfic and for all anyone around me knows I'm reading Tolstoy or something :p
