7. I do that. XD

8. Hell yes. ♥

6. While I've had an account there for years and do occasionally post something up there, ff.net is the largest archive of fanfiction crap the world has seen. I firmly believe 95% of everyone who posts on there is 13 years old.

11. Lol. Awesome.

16. While I'm a Bleach fan I completely agree here but for other fandoms. Can't you seriously like something without making ten millions posts about it?

18. Best secret ever? XD

[identity profile] daphhime.livejournal.com 2007-07-31 02:08 am (UTC)(link)
16. I feel the same way about some of my friends when it comes to certian fandoms too. Digimon in particular. Never cared for it but the guys in my group love it for some reason. I always thought Pokemon was better.

And yes, I am a Bleach fan, but I don't really rant and rave about it much.

20. I didn't give either blah about the compilation, but I'm kinda tempted to hate the compilation just so I'm not on the secret poster's side. O_o So much anger over nothing.

#1, I'd love for Pokemon to be real. How they survive, I have no idea. But it'd be fun all the same. I suddenly wish I had a Pokemon icon. :(

I hear you. I hear you loud and clear. I am -EXACTLY- the same way, word for word. I offer my hugs and condolences. :\

The worst part is, I'm going to have to read it, just so I know what the fuck everyone's babbling about.

[identity profile] lostremnant.livejournal.com 2007-07-31 03:08 am (UTC)(link)
6. I post there because it was the only fanfiction archive that I knew of at the time I started posting fan fics. I cross post to LJ but frankly most of my reviews have come from FF net. There is a lot of crap on FF net but usually you don't have to read more than a page of something (if even that much) to determine if it's crap or not.

12. I just lost interest in the whole thing when Harry became a whiny brat.

16. I'm a Bleach fan but I certainly don't talk about it all the time. You poor thing, you must be terribly bored when you're with your friends.

20. I never blamed him. He doesn't OWN FFVII anyway no matter how much he created it. Square Enix owns it and it's up to the company as to how much it will be milked.

[identity profile] blue-bah69.livejournal.com 2007-07-31 03:12 am (UTC)(link)
aw. 7. you're adorable.

[identity profile] repeatvoffender.livejournal.com 2007-07-31 04:38 am (UTC)(link)
5. When will people learn to start using hosts that don't break? Seriously, if you want people to see your secret (which, I assume you do.) imageshack and tinypic, anyone?

6. I always associate bad writers with FF.net, too. I try not to lose respect for anyone that posts there, and I like to think I'd give a recommended fic a shot- I used to, anyway. Now I read so little fic that I probably wouldn't, no matter where it was posted.

In the fandoms I was in, LJ seemed to be a better place to find decent fic- but since then... it's all just gone downhill. Which is why I don't read anything, anymore.

7. I feel the need to watch a lot of versions of a lot of different songs, just to see how they're handled. I did the same thing- and, honestly? I laugh when they make either girl another guy, for a gay pairing.

9. Not the same pairing, but the idea makes me want to claw my own eyes out, yeah. Not in that fandom, or I'd probably be agreeing 100%

10. Valid point. People that you're directing this to, probably aren't going to agree, though.

12. SIGNED. No, really. What.
I couldn't remember book four after I read it, so I assumed I was no longer interested. Never bought five. Reading it now, just to catch up so I can see the movie. Because that's my life, seeing new movies that come out, is about the only social life I have.

13. Whatever does the trick? God, I wish I had inspiration to change the things about me I want to change. Working on it.

16. For me it's Bleach and Naruto. I was interested in Bleach, and when it came on AS I was like "Maybe I can actually watch it, now." but, once it actually got aired I just didn't care. FMA was spoiled all over the place for me too, but I managed to enjoy it somehow anyway.
I understand completely, though. I wish my Naruto obsessed fans would shut up about it for fifteen seconds, enough to explain what the hell they just said- and stop telling me everything about the damn show. And linking me to fics I have no interest in reading.
I don't want to see hacked up OOC versions of the characters when I'm not familiar with the canon real character. It will horribly mis-construe everything about them, and I wouldn't know what they're really like. It's a scary scary thought, I have a friend that learned about RoyxEd before FMA, and despite everything I said, thought it would turn out canon, before the end of the series.
So, yes- Amen. /rant.

18. this secret disturbs me on so many many many levels. Congratulations.

... It's ON imageshack. I've never had it break before. Sorry to be so offensive.

(Anonymous) 2007-07-31 04:22 pm (UTC)(link)
I wouldn't worry too much. It happens to the best of us.

[identity profile] repeatvoffender.livejournal.com 2007-07-31 06:56 pm (UTC)(link)
It's not offensive, just mildly annoying, you want people to see your secret. I want to see your secret. I see a problem here.

Don't worry about it, though. I didn't mean to come off as so bitchy, but I have a talent for doing just that, anyway.

(Anonymous) 2007-07-31 04:20 pm (UTC)(link)
5. most of the bad image placeholders use imageshack, from what I've seen.

[identity profile] repeatvoffender.livejournal.com 2007-07-31 06:54 pm (UTC)(link)
Wow, I'm an idiot and that's not the site I meant. I've hosted on two sites that never break, tinypic being one of them- and now I can't remember the other one. Ah well.

20 is another repeat, mods. :<
Was on yesterday's post as a not!secret.

20.) I don't know why, but I feel the urge to give you a complimentary roll of TP. Do you prefer four-ply or that scratchy stuff they have in public restrooms?

[identity profile] yentai.livejournal.com 2007-07-31 03:03 pm (UTC)(link)
#1=xDi want poke'mon to be real too!

[identity profile] miltia.livejournal.com 2007-07-31 07:50 pm (UTC)(link)
1) I'd love for Pokemon to be real. Of course, then we'd see some REALLY screwed up Pokemon whenever I got around to being a breeder that focuses mainly on weird genetics, BUT THAT'S BESIDE THE POINT. xD''

6) I've always thought that FF.net has at least a few gems worth reading, and I'm pretty picky about the fics that I read. Really, it's all in the author, not the site itself.

9) I know the feeling. DX Usually, I'm okay with fangirl Japanese, but when it comes to that particular ship name...something about it just bugs me. :/

10) Yes, in-jokes and cliques can be alienating, especially in RP, but I've never thought it made people come across as elitist. But maybe that's because the last RP I was in, even though there seemed to be a few of those, all the people were still really cool and easy to talk to, if you needed to ask them anything. Maybe the reasons they tell themselves those other things is because they genuinely don't believe themselves to be. Even if no one's obligated to give them an answer, isn't it human nature to want to know why people hate you if they say so?

12) I couldn't finish the fourth book, but I actually read bits and pieces of the sixth book, and all the way through the seventh, and I think I'd have to agree. I mean, they're pretty good, but from PoA on, I actually didn't think they were too great, even if JKR started writing for a bit more mature audience.

[identity profile] hireadd.livejournal.com 2007-07-31 09:08 pm (UTC)(link)
10. So much word. The 'you're just jealous' excuse is really idiotic, but you see it over and over again. Heaven forbid people have valid reasons. Couldn't be!

It's not like someone who dislikes an RP is destroying the whole thing just by expressing a negative opinion about it- especially somewhere where the majority of its members don't have to look at it. And if the negative opinion is rude or obnoxious, you still don't make yourself look any better by flipping your shit about it and responding in kind.

Also, pretty secret. :3

In my opinion? TRAINWRECK SYNDROME. For me, at least. It started to bore me and really drag on OotP forward, and yet for some reason, I still bought Deathly Hallows, and I still read it ASAP (although not with as much vigor as I could have). It bores me to death now, and I couldn't look away from it.

Damn it, Rowling. DX

Haha! Win. I always imagine him with a block of cheese on his head, so when he rips himself in half he's less freaky. That and I generally can't take that game seriously, since Leon's so damn stupid. I love it anyway.

two years late to the party but
