Hey f!s, I was thinking the other day that there are a few fics I can go back to over and over to get myself off, but mostly things lose their shine after a while. Do you have things like that? Do you have links? Do you even masturbate to fic at all?

I don't begrudge any writer their "ew, what" response to comments that say, "I CAME," but sometimes it's true...

There's this utterly porny original fic author on Aff that I usually get off to. Anais Wannabe, if you're interested. The quality is shit, but they have a tendency to hit my kinks like a semi-truck crushing a volkswagon.

Yeah, I have a few ones that I *cough* quite like. I don't usually reread porn though, except for a very few pieces. I don't masturbate to fic while I'm reading, per se, but I do, uh, use scenarios and stuff in my private fantasies sometimes. . .

I don't think I've ever gotten off to READING fic, but I know several times I've had to stop writing and go take care of things before I could continue further.

I don't read fic when I'm getting off, but I do have a private Diigo account where I bookmark all the prompts that really hit my kinks on my favourite kink memes - it started out as a way of keeping track of the ones I thought I could try to write, but now it's just masturbation fodder. I have one of the porn vids I like open for the soundtrack and occasional visual stimulation, but just looking through the prompts is usually enough. When I think about it, this is a fairly weird way of masturbating, but... eh. It works for me!

In my LJ memories, I have over 300 stories in one category I find extremely hot...when I get myself off I just read any of them...that usually does it for me.

I suppose getting myself off to fanfiction just makes me feel really weird.

Maybe it's this bizzare anxiety that they'll know but I used to feel way weirder about getting off to stuff I'd actually seen or experienced in my daily life- like, a lot of fanfiction is designed to provoke a certain reaction, so if it succeeds, it's not a surprise, but if I'm turned on by the underwear some other girl was wearing in the changing room, then I feel like a super creep.

I suppose it is that. Even though there's no way they could ever know, I feel like they'll just...be aware of what I'm doing, I guess. I write some porny stuff myself, and I mean, I'm incapable of finding anything I've written myself hot, but...people say it is, and maybe they're, y'know, getting themselves off to it. And the idea of THAT weirds me out.

I only touch myself whilst reading fanfiction... I don't have, er, fantasies or anything. I just feel even weirder if I tried without the fic.

I'm another person who usually only gets off to original stuff - with porny fic, the characterisation usually gets in the way of the getting off. Because of this I sometimes look for kink fic from fandoms I don't know very well, but mostly I just look at terrible things on literotica.

But. One of my fandom bffs hits all my kinks and I have fapped to most of her fics, including some for a pairing I used to hate. I'd say she has no idea but we swap prompts a lot, and she's hinted that the fapping is mutual. I have such a crush on her now. I'd never tell her, though.

The best relationship I ever had was with a friend I wrote smutty fic for/with before we were together. It's not like it can be the whole basis for a relationship, but sometimes things work out. ;)

i've gotten off to a few fics before. i don't do it often. i get really turned on while reading porny fic, obviously, but usually it's not enough to make me want to get off. sometimes a scenario or kink will hit me just right, though, usually if it's really, really filthy. i don't come across stuff like that often in fanfic, though. i wish there was more of it.

It's so hard for me to find really hot fics nowadays since I've always been a slow reader, finding something new and exciting just becomes so tedious. I'm so picky about the pairings I'm into, urrrgh!

If you mean 'sitting at my desk, reading smut, and masturbating', then - no. As a rule, my desk chair is not comfy, and i wouldn't be able to relax enough to enjoy it.

However - yes, some authors have written some scorchingly hot fic that have provided a lovely jumping-off point for my own, internal 'movie' that runs while i masturbate. I have only read a couple of profic sex scenes that have made me feel that way, or even given me ideas. Most of them are just dull. Fanfic seems to really bring out the creativity in people.

(That said - i have never and will never say in a comment that a sex scene 'got me off' or that i had to 'change my panties' or whatever. I, personally, think that's a bit crass and tmi.)
