I've found that if I use my fingers for penetration during masturbation, I struggle to get in more than one finger. However, if I use a dildo, I have no problem with something bigger than one finger. I really have no idea why that is, but I think it might have to do with just tensing up and from the angle and everything. I pretty much just prefer to do clitoral stimulation when I'm getting myself off anyway though.

It could also be that two fingers are kind of blunt, rather than the smooth small-to-large gradation of a dildo.
