So you can see why people didn't react to your secret as though it was your opinion, they reacted to it as though you were calling everyone who liked Andrew's Spidey more a moron, and declaring extremely subjective things (like how a character appealed to you) as hard truths.

First, if you weren't the anon that replied to me first, then obviously this doesn't apply but "no, really?" comes off as sarcastic and condescending. So there's that.

Also, as intriqueing pointed out, some of the wording in your secret implies that your opinion on the matter is the only "right" one to have. That would be the issue here.

Honestly, I haven't seen the reboot because, ugh, another Spider-Man movie? No thanks. But your wording in your secret makes you come off as very self important and as the only one that really "gets" the character which is laughable at best.

You can infer from what I wrote it however you want but it all said and all it meant was

A.) I found Garfield's portrayal to be mediocre and not true to the way he's been established in the comics
B.) I'm baffled that everyone liked it so much.

Bitching because you don't get it, presuming your opinion is the only right one (which you can deny all you want, but it's pretty clear you think less of those that disagree with you) and generally being an elitist asshole ARE faults.
