Because the overemotional, overdramatic, not-at-all-Doctor-like shit we got at the end of Ten's run was sooooooo much better.

I'm sorry, I hated that ending and wanted to throw my TV out the window. And I hated how everyone was all, "I CRIED, IT WAS SO EMOTIONAL." No, it was drivel and so overdramatic and just. It sucked. It wasn't good at all.

Oh, the overblown send off for Ten was horrendous, I agree. But how does that being crap somehow make Moffat's stuff any better?

My reaction to that string of episodes: "JUST BUGGER OFF ALREADY!" And the same again when scrolling through all the responses and counter-responses running up to 30 secrets a day on here...

Yeah, the end of Ten's run was a mess, imo. But it started with the series 4 finale, not the specials, if you ask me (though they certainly didn't help matters.) The way they ended Donna and Rose's storylines was just horrendous, to the point where I haven't watched any of the canon between Turn Left and The Eleventh Hour in a WHILE.

That's not to say I haven't had issues with the latest seasons of the show, but I don't think they've been as terrible as a lot of people seem to and I still like a majority of the characters.

I'm surprised that people don't understand that it wasn't really about Ten. It was RTD and David Tennant saying goodbye.

Look, I get it; I really do. They were huge fanboys, and they got to work on a show they loved, and they were sad to have to leave it. But, honestly, I don't feel like that justifies some of the things that happened in that run of specials. And it certainly doesn't justify "I don't wanna go."
