I think you should tell your friend. You have two basic choices; tell or don't tell. If you don't tell, you keep the friendship, but will you regret not telling more than you would benefit from the friendship? If you tell and it drives her away, you regret both telling her and losing her. If you tell and she's ok with it but not mutual, then you are glad you told her and you get to keep the friendship.

In interpersonal things like this, we are usually better off regretting the things we do instead of the things we don't do.
