Yes, I can deal with authors disliking each others work but the hate Pullman has for Narnia goes beyond that. He doesn't seem to miss an opportunity to bash Narnia and almost seems to be purposely reading his own agenda into the books. I cannot stand him anymore, and I quite liked Northern Lights and The Subtle Knife.

11. Having to fangirl to yourself can suck, but considering most of the known world loves Potter at least you can take comfort in that.

Oh the preaching... the preaching... I'm an atheist and I don't have much time for religion in my own life but I will never deny the good done by religious organisations. Pullman's preaching in The Amber Spyglass made me incredibly uncomfortable. While I can see the Christian parallels in Narnia, I never found the series to be obnoxious with it's message.

4. Given that plenty people replying think Pullman sucks because he doesn’t like and criticises Narnia, you’ve got nothing to be afraid of. I don’t get it, do people think Narnia shouldn’t be criticised at all? Granted, Pullman’s timing was rubbish (his Dark Side of Narnia essay’s dated the same year as the Subtle Knife, lol) and going for cheap self-promotion but this how-very-dare-he reaction is weird. He gives reasons for his criticism which is something compared to the ‘I don’t like your face!’ shit-flinging you get from some musicians.

And OMG I read that Daily Mail piece about him and it is insane. The usual ‘wtf Daily Mail’ reaction kicks in early and just gets bigger and bigger. Atheists hate the concept of forgiveness! LOL. Maybe I’m kind of siding with him ‘cause the Daily Mail hate him.

19. Have you played Partners in Time on the DS? It’s great, the whole game is so charming and everything (power ups, menus, gameplay) fits together so well. And I think you’re onto something, Luigi was more fun there.

I hate Narnia (for other reasons than the religious allegory), but Pullman's bashing of religion and Narnia for its religious themes really makes me uncomfortable, even though I'm an atheist.

Luts isn't bad (I moon after all their interesting clothes)... I actually do like some of the minifee and the new senior delfs are pretty cool, too! I just can't see why El gets more attention than any other BJD out there. And after seeing the "beauty green" color in real life, I was kind of turned off Luts. Greeeen!

Yeah, I like some models that I keep searching DOA for pics of and can't find. I like the ones that look more mature or more interesting, like Souldoll Hye. She looks so very plain and mousy and I love her. :) Only minus that "beating heart" thing, because WTF holy crap is that creepy as hell. o____o

I've been through phases where I tried to use only icons I made, and phases where I didn't use any icons I made, and now I'm just kind of that middle ground of if I like it, I use it, which leaves me with some from me and some from other people. I like making my own icons, but there are some things I really haven't got the hang of yet, that other people do much better than me, so.
