No, I think that makes sense. I've heard that some people like loli/shota because they identify with the child. Was that the case for you? Because this phenomenon is a real thing, and it would explain why you could enjoy one while being completely sickened by the other.

Not strictly child porn, but I'm drawn to ephebophilia for the same reason. Also because that actually happened to me. I don't have any interest in young people, in fact, I'm grossed out by dudes under the age of 25. Now not only do I have to deal with the memories of being a teenager involved in a sexual relationship with a grown man, when I try to read stories about that, or read porn/comics in that vein, I get people judging me for it. Thanks for making me feel like shit when I already have a lot of mixed, negative feelings about the incident, FUCKFACES.

I like teen romances myself. Not even necessarily sexually, but I guess because I never lived one myself, I sort of romanticize the whole thing ad sort of try to have an experience I never had through fictional characters.

That makes sense. Not OP but I have this thing for age difference and significantly older men (I find men of my own age just... blah) so I have viewed some shota/loli-esque things and found them... erm... quite appealing. I'm definitely identifying with the kid. NOT with the adult. However, I have never intentionally viewed any porn. All of the stuff I viewed was just fluffy and when I have accidentally seen pics with clearly sexual content where the kid seems distressed (thanks to some japanese fanart sites where I couldn't understand the possible warnings mentioned), I got freaked out. Also, the thought of ever seeing real porn sickens me.

I definitely identify with the child (let me clarify: I only look at the drawn stuff). I was never abused or anything either - if I had to sit down and armchair analyze myself, it probably has to do with the fact that for a long time I wasn't comfortable with my (very feminine) body, and wished myself back to that pre-pubescent androgynous state. I lost my virginity at a very late age, too - I frankly can't identify with sexually confident adult women, though overly submissive women also make me uncomfortable (because of the rapey vibe in so much porn, especially hentai omg) Sexually speaking, I see myself as very childlike. I've always identified with precocious girls rather than adult women. That's basically why I like lolis.
