(Anonymous) 2012-08-29 11:10 pm (UTC)(link)Why can't we accept a light-hearted but clever and charming hero and just write him the way he is? I personally love writing fluffy culture clash stories where Thor deals with the Midgardian conventions while retaining his intelligence.

(Anonymous) 2012-08-29 11:45 pm (UTC)(link)That said, I'm a fan of movieverse Thor, myself. I didn't care much for Thor OR the Avengers (partially because of said crappy comics) until the movies came out. It's easier to both write Thor as intelligent and charming, as well as start hacking at Marvel's changes to mythology, that way.

....They made THOR a Quaker? God of thunder and war and violence?
Really?
(Nonnie has not seen the movie, and has only a passing knowledge of Norse mythology.)
