I gave this show a shot based on trailers, lolled, and watched it. I got all the way to season two before realizing that this new "Sterek" ship I'd been hearing about was from Teen Wolf.

I mean, slash and let slash, by all means but....I hadn't noticed anything at all between the two.

(TBH, it's like the Clint/Coulson ship the Avengers movieverse lot picked up on. And didn't Supernatural have that whole Wincest/Destiel for gay rights as well?)

The future of slash, everybody!

Pfft. No one can pull the "slash pairings is gay rights activism" better than the nu!Trek Kirk/Spock shippers.

That was the one! They had that petition thing going, right?

Well, at least they had the grandaddies of slash to back them up.

Your Dr. Banner icon distracts me every time I see it. XD

He's trying to figure out whether the opinions expressed on this site are trolls or not. XD

A legit concern, Dr. Banner. Please continue.

Huh. I totally missed the Clint/Coulson shippers arguing for queer rights = their ship. Or are you just talking about the wtf-ery of Clint/Coulson as a ship there?

Just the out of the blue WTFckery. I haven't seen any campaigning, but I think most of the Clint/Coulson shippers left that haven't migrated on to the next shiny new thing are well aware of how WTF the ship is.

TBH, it's like the Clint/Coulson ship the Avengers movieverse lot picked up on.
So much this! They interacted for less than a minute across the span of two movies. Why is this such a popular pairing? I don't understand that at all. It's not even like Tony/Steve where even if there isn't much movie subtext, there is a lot in the comics. (Text and subtext.)
