I actually find it weirder when characters have the names of my close friends and family, because I've been toying with changing my name for years so I'm not super attached to it. But like, I can never watch Boys Don't Cry because omg, that's my best friend's name in there, gahhh, and anything with a romantic hero called Noah I have to avoid because I immediately picture my brother.

I have a younger brother named Sam, so Supernatural can get a little weird for me. (Sam Winchester's birthday is also the same as my dad's, so... more weird.)
