Except that making these kinds of assumptions about "foreign" fanciful characters can also say a lot about a person's attitudes towards actual RL foreigners as well.

people take much more ridiculous things super-seriously all the time. have you seen SJWs descend upon the tiniest scrap of perceived wrong? this is nothing.
