The Curious Case of Benjamin Button, the movie -- it bored me to tears, to the point where I couldn't even tolerate letting it run in the background while I browsed the internet. It also seemed weirdly pretentious, which just annoyed the crap out of me.

I've never read the book, and as much as I hated the movie I doubt anyone could convince me to give the book a try.

Oh, that movie was so disappointing! I am a huge Fincher fan. So, I was looking so forward to that movies especially since everyone was falling over themselves gushing on about it.

The movie felt out of place in Fincher's collection. How do you go from The Game, Se7en, Fight Club, Panic Room, Zodiac to that. Where did it fit?

I have a weird relationship with that movie. I really loved the first half, but absolutely hated the second half.

The book bears pretty much no resemblance to the film though, other than there being a character called Benjamin Button who was born old and ages backwards. Also, it's a short story, not a novel.

I liked the movie, but I definitely thought of it as a slightly-above-average popcorn movie and was baffled when it got lots of Oscar noms (aside from effects and stuff).
