does eridan count? not everybody hates him but a lot of his fans come off as ridic. most other people either don't care about him or hate him because of the whole "tried to kill a bunch of trolls" thing.

eta: i'm also REALLY (like wow levels of really) protective of wheatley, but most of the portal fandom loves him, so...

haha I'm in the 'protective of GLaDOS' boat because I'm so used to Wheatley fans talking about how he's such a redemptive snuggle-kins only to stomp all over GLaDOS as an irredeemable bitch whenever a fan gives him flak.
