Agreed! This movie is so obvious about trying to grab your heartstrings that it just ends up being obnoxious.

Also is this the one where he threatens to jump of a Ferris wheel if the girl won't dump her boyfriend and go out with him? Because yeeeeeeah that was skeevy as fuck.

OMG yes that ferris wheel scene! I saw it in the theater with a bunch of girlfriends, and they were all starry-eyed talking about how romantic that was. Meanwhile, I was completely "DO NOT WANT. Kick him in the fucking head and pretend he just fell off the damn thing, DO NOT WANT, CRAZY STALKER!!!!"

People always point to Twlight for the romanticism of stalking and abusive behaviour, and yet THERE IT IS right there in the 'most romantic movie EVAR'.
