Bela Talbot from Supernatural. She was so fierce and I miss her like hell. :(

Towards the end of the second season of Teen Wolf, I saw a lot of hate on Allison and Scott. I never felt too strongly about them before that, but after seeing all the hate towards them made me get really protective of them and now I adore them. Funny how that can happen.

Also, Alex Hunter from White Collar. That one is fresh in my mind because just a few hours ago I saw the same person tag their hate about her. Twice.

Oh, and Blaine Anderson from Glee. He's one of the most popular characters in the fandom, but a good chunk of the fandom hates him and I get on edge when I see people hating on him because I share quite a few of his faults/flaws and there are certain points when I really relate to him.

I loved Bella. She had such a tragic and intriguing story arc.

She really did. I can't stand the way most of the fandom hates her just because she wasn't a saint and put her own needs above the Winchesters.

And I think that what I love most (and sobsob hate most) about her story arc is that if Sam and Dean knew why she made the deal, they'd have been behind her 100% all the way and trying their damnedest to keep her out of hell. Sam and Dean both love kids, and family is sacrosanct to them. In no way would they blame a kid for killing her abusive father and a mother who didn't stop it. It kills me that she dies and they just think she's a greedy bitch. But I also love it because it undercuts the moral authority the show often gives them; they're wrong about her. Wrong wrong wrong in the worst and saddest way. *heart in throat*

I've always liked Scott and Allison. Sometimes, their relationship is troublesome, but I don't think they merited the hate they got/get for it.

Yeah, I can understand why people don't like their relationship, especially as in season one it ate up a lot of screentime, but all the hate they got for it (and are still getting, both for their relationship and the things they do on their own) was totally unwarranted.

re: Teen Wolf

Before I watched that show, all I knew about it was that it might be like a crappy Twilight bandwagon show, and that tumblr ships Stiles and Derek (whoever the fuck those guys were [the buzz cut one that is the main character, and the... other one? which one is which?]). And it turned out to be unexpectedly awesome, so I was looking forward to the fandom.

And holy crap, Scott had so many moments where he fumbles because he's a nerve-wracked kid that doesn't know what he's doing, but the fandom completely exaggerates it and hates him.

"The show would be better if Scott left, or if it was Stiles who got the bite! Duh huh huh!"

All the fuck yous.

I was super glad that the second season got the ball rolling in giving Scott more of a personality that wasn't based on mooning over a girl, and even the general fandom seemed to adore him now, but then Allison is getting hate-bombed and twitter murder trending and Erica is getting crazy for wearing makeup or whatever, and meanwhile Stiles and Derek can do no possible wrongs because they're apparently angelsandAUGAEUDFGAIDGJ;GH
Just. Just Teen Wolf fandom, man. Half the time I want to kiss it for being fun and silly, but the other half I want to strangle it for being embarrassing and wrong, so wrong about everything.

Totally agree. I adore Erica too, though I haven't seen any hate for her.

What got me most was people hating on Scott for choosing to protect his own mother because in the process of doing that, he hurt Derek's ~feelings~. Not to mention people saying all sorts of horrible stuff about Allison because really, how dare she be angry at the guy who killed her mother? How dare she be taken advantage of and manipulated by Gerard when he knows she's in a highly emotional and volatile state?

I love Derek and Stiles as characters in their own right, but really, the way people are willing to vilify any other character in the fandom (apart from Isaac, apparently) to shine a positive light on Derek/Stiles/Sterek is ridiculous. What happened to loving a character because they're well-rounded, three-dimensional people with flaws, who screw up and make mistakes and, you know, prioritize the safety of their parents over the feelings of a guy they don't even really like that much?
