(Anonymous) 2012-08-30 01:57 am (UTC)(link)Yeah, if the show spends time to talk about a person who's dad is jewish and mom in non-jewsih/gentile and are completely oblivious to that reality and that tension, sure that's weird. But if it's like a passing mention "oh, I'm jewish/half-jewish" like... I feel like a lot of people do say that and do feel a part of the community in a cultural or familial respect, and maybe religious depending on their activity in the community.
