Re: "Masterpieces"... that are overrated.

I agree. I mean, I read the books and they were really good stories. But in and of themselves, they weren't... "OMG THESE ARE THE BEST BOOKS EVER AND NOTHING WILL EVER BE AS GOOD" to me. They were funny, witty, interesting (seriously, there's just a lot that is "cool" in the series -- I love Hogwarts and the spell names and all the little details of the setting probably more than the story), and told an entertaining story, but they weren't something that really affected me deeply. I mean, obviously that's really individual, but the hype at the time was that everyone should find it super amazing and I just didn't feel that way about it.
