Ugh, moron!Thor is one of my least favourite things in fic and while he certainly needs to adjust when he's cast down to earth in 'Thor' I actually don't see anything about him in Avengers that suggests that he doesn't understand Midgardian customs, not knowing slang phrases doesn't fucking count.

Hell, iirc, Steve didn't even know some of the slang phrases mentioned - or, at least, that's what I got when he acted to happy/bouncy over understanding the 'flying monkeys' reference.

So, if someone's going off *that* to say Thor's an idiot...then guess what? Technically, Cap'n is too.

Are you kidding. The same people who make Thor out to be an idiot do the same thing with Cap -- even more so in some cases, actually. Especially regarding sexuality.

These two get some of the worst characterizations out there.
