Weirdest/Most Ridiculous Injury

So, a thread in another forum got me thinking about how sometimes you can get injuries doing the simplest, most routine things ever or even doing nothing. I'm curious as to what everyone's most ridiculous injury is. XD

For me, I dislocated my thumb once while digging through my purse for a pack of gum.

Basically any non-fatal cooking-related injury possible, I've had.

I know I've broken my ankle at least once by tripping over absolutely nothing, though.

I opened a door, which made a rolled carpet fall on the neck of a bottle of wine, which fell down an broke on my big toe. I bruised it pretty badly but I still laugh about it!

I've dislocate my knee standing up before. And by sitting down. And by walking on pavement.

When I was four years old I had one of those railing things to keep me in bed. I decided I was a big girl and asked my dad to take it off the bed. The night after that happened I rolled out of bed and broke my clavicle.

Not really a routine thing, but it sounds kind of ridiculous in hindsight. when I was... 9? I think? I had a bunk bed, and I fell off the top bunk and broke my arm. This is because I was leaning over the edge, using my arms as a basketball hoop for my brother to throw a ball through. I don't know why I thought that was a good idea.

I walked right into a tree outside my school in the 9th grade. I've also hit a no parking sign (technically I danced into it), a parking meter, and a glass bus shelter.
I just don't always pay enough attention to where I'm going.

I sneezed very hard, and cracked my head on the sharp counter at work. ER trip, stitches, fun times. Now I have what I fondly refer to as my "Harry Potter scar". ^^

I've never had any myself, but a friend of mine once got RSI from playing her violin too much. Needless to say, the music teacher was...impressed.

I got a concussion while walking down the sidewalk to the bus. I don't remember tripping at all. I was suddenly face down on the concrete so I got up, walked to the bus stop, and calmly asked the person sitting there if I had blood on my face.

The street was deserted, and I still wonder if anyone was looking outside their window that night and saying "what the fuck is that girl doing".

I broke my foot stepping off a curb.

(But I made up for it by spraining my thumb petting a lion. Awesome reason for injury, y/y?)

i got my leg stuck between two bars in a fence when i was little, and i did it not once but twice. the first time i was on a playground and the second i was in vegas and they had to call security. my entire life is one big embarrassment.

In high school, I once had to go to the school nurse's office because I got my finger stuck in a test tube.

I somehow pulled a neck muscle while lying in the bed. Couldn't move my head without serious pain for two days.

I was making tea one day, reached up into the cabinet, dislodged a bottle of olive oil, and broke my nose. I wound up needing surgery.

I also slipped two discs in my back last year while folding laundry.

Bonus: My dad broke a finger closing a car door. He didn't close it in the door or anything like that, he just shut the door and then said, "Ow."

I was walking toward the crosswalk, getting ready to cross the street, when I tripped. I was coming back from class and was wearing my bookbag and it was heavy, at least ten pounds, probably more. As I tripped, my bookbag swung up over my head, hitting it and driving my chin into the concrete. All this happened on the corner of the busiest street in town. I had a bruise on my chin that looked like a five o'clock shadow for weeks. And it hurt. *sigh*

I once sliced open the inside of my mouth with a corn chip. Stupid Doritos ;_;

And a few weeks back, in the span of one hour, I turned my ankle at gym, got home, slammed my shin (on my other leg!) in to the side of my bed hard enough to leave a whopper of a bruise, and then stubbed my toe (on the same leg as the bruise) on the same bed.

Hit my head, or headbanged, a button. While pushing it with my finger. I'm not sure how I hit it with enough force, but there was blood everywhere, and I needed stitches.

I let people think I got the scar from being punched in the face, or whatever else they assume. They don't need to know that my I was a danger to my kid self.

eta: And also the time I burned my cheek and almost my eyeball while lighting a cigarette. In my defense, I was really, really sleepy, so of course I was naturally nodding downwards into the lighter. Thank fuck my eyelashes don't stand out, otherwise people would have noticed the weirdly stubby ones on my left.

I stumbled and fell on a sidewalk back in May and whacked my shin - I thought it was a simple bruise and waited two weeks for it to go away. Instead, it swelled up, turned out to be badly infected (!!), and I spent three weeks on antibiotics. Four months later, there's a patch on the leg that's still numb ... and may be the rest of my life.

It is the stupidest thing that hurt, EVER.

You know how you sometimes sleep wrong and wake up with a sore neck or something? Earlier this year I woke up with a herniated spinal disc.
