Oh boy, I've seen this happen and people sure do *think* they have legs to stand on.

It wasn't bolded! It wasn't in big text! It was 'hidden' in the summary!

I've even seen 'there were 10 chapters before this and now there's rape in chapter 11 and you didn't tell me it was heading this way, I'm triggered thinking about it now! You should have warned before you posted chapter 1 even though you hadn't written all the plot at the time'

Ugh. I hate people like that so much.

I wouldn't exactly call it a trigger, per se, but I am very uncomfortable with scenes/stories/etc where a group of girls gangs up on another and attack her, because it happened to me in middle school. Multiple broken ribs, shattered ankle, the works- I'm honestly probably lucky to still be alive right now. Seven against one doesn't usually end very well, unless the one has a weapon of some kind, which I didn't.

Anyway, quite a while ago now, I posted a fic that contained some apparently offensive content. Considering that the content of that fic wasn't much worse than anything in canon, AND that I had warned for it, I was surprised by the reaction of certain people, and I tried to make it right. Big mistake. the Fandom Bitch Squad attacked me like it was going out of style, and one of my so-called "friends" who knew about my past decided it would be a good idea to say something about it. Even today, like two years after the fact, if I log into that account, I still get messages from some cunt saying that my attackers should have killed me. But you know what? I grew to adulthood with the philosophy: fuck 'em, I do what I want. I know it's hard, OP, but try not to let it bother you.

And you're right- people like that can go sit on a cactus, preferably one with a sign like that on it. You just made my night with that line, seriously.

You have every right to be mad. Gosh I hate fandom policing these days. Everything is triggering even if you have large neon signs on top saying WARNING: DON'T READ THIS! And you obviously had a set up for your scene so there should have been enough waring going in. I wished I was there to defend you OP. All I can say is please don't let the actions of one asshole ruin your participation and enjoyment of fandom. Stay away for a while, until the storm dies down, then go back and do your thing.
