Seconding the wow, especially for the end. I disagree that it portrays schizophrenia as just quirkiness, it's quite apparent that it has pretty much ruined so much of his life. And while sometimes they use it for humor, there's also those times where they use it every bit as dramatically as it deserves.

Yeah they are starting to show how much it effects him when he doesn't manage it well.

Has it gotten better in regards to that? I have to be honest, the way he dealt with it in the pilot really put me off, but I'd be willing to give it another shot if it's dealt with more realistically/sensitively later on in the season.

Yeah, had an episode with another person with schizophrenia, much worse than Daniel's, they started talking about what could happen to Daniel if he doesn't manage his own schizophrenia better.

wasn't it something similar in A Beautiful Mind, where in the end he just "thought" his way out of it? (can't remember, it's been years since i saw it)

i like Perception, but the protagonists look more like older-brother/much-younger-sister than love interests

Trust me, when Daniel has a full blown episode, he isn't able to "think himself out of it". He's only pulled out of a two-day long delusion by his live-in caretaker coming home and pulling him out of it.

His name is Daniel (Dr. Daniel Pierce). Yeah, the OP goofed on that.

Actually, if it were the latter, there'd still be an apostrophe (since it's possessive), it would just be in a different place ("OMG Daniels' character...")

Haven't watched this yet so have nothing to say about the secret (sorry!), but for some reason I feel compelled to admit how attractive I find this guy (especially in that outfit, unf). Looking good, man.

His name is Eric McCormack. He was also Will in Will & Grace.

Yea, I remember him as Will, I was just too lazy to google his name. Hehe. I remember him from a series called Trust Me too, but I was apparently the only person who enjoyed it and it got canceled after only one season. He's a good actor from what I've seen!

Yeah, there's a few episodes where Pierce's, or some other character's, mental illness is the focus of the episode.

Yeah. Especially since I don't think Pierce and Moretti have all that much chemistry. They're both fine characters, but together? Meh. I'm okay with them putting them together, but I don't find myself rooting for it to happen.
