...Oh man, I just remembered - A casting call went out for understudies for the Atlanta show of RENT, and up at the top of the sheet was "DO NOT WEAR LEATHER PANTS OR ALL BLACK TO THIS AUDITION. YOU WILL BE DISQUALIFIED."

My brother died a month before KH2 came out. I sobbed through pretty much the whole game because playing video games together was what we did. I don't even think the fact that he was dead set in until I beat the game and cried for two days straight. I still remember the day he helped me beat the first one. He loved Starcraft and Warcraft (not WoW, you freaks! Real Warcraft! XD) and got me to play them with him. I work at an EB Games now, and whenever we get reserves for Starcraft 2 or someone mentions Blizzard I can't help but tense up and try to quell that knee-jerk reaction. I know I'm not going to be able to play MGS4 without breaking down multiple times.

But the time we shared was nice, and I wouldn't trade those moments for anything. Even if it hurts, it makes me happy to know that we shared something that interested us both so much, you know?

Sorry, didn't mean to ramble. I'm mostly trying to say I understand, and I understand the guilty feeling too. Just know that eventually it fades and you can look back on the days you were dorks together fondly. ♥

22 - awh, that's like me and Furuba (I even casually cosplayed Kisa at a Furuba party once, without seeing more than a picture of it. I write Furuba fanfic now without having read a single damn manga and only having watched maybe an episode and a half of the anime). I attempted to read Naruto and gave up almost immediately, it was so crappy. I dunno why Yu Yu Hakusho appeals to me, but it's the only manga I still read.

2. Okay, bit late to the party, but I have a question. Why does everyone keep calling Near an L clone? I mean, maybe I'm just crazy, but I'm seriously not seeing how his personality is similar enough to L's to merit such a label.

That said, I admit that I stopped reading Death Note for a few days after L died, because goddamn, did it ever hurt. I also admit that I liked the second arc considerably less than the first. However, the former confession has absolutely no bearing on the latter. I liked the second arc less because, in my opinion, it's simply not as well-written. Near is wonderful, and so is Mello, but the plot basically devolves into a whole lot of 'he doesn't know that I know that he knows that I know that he knows, so I'll do this-- but OH SHIT, what if he works out that I'm doing this because he would figure this out if I did this other thing in an attempt to keep him from discovering that I did that to cover up the fact that I realized that he would realize...'

Eh. I don't know. Just my $0.02, I guess.
