Wow, Haven secret! I guess you were pleased to see it return, too?

I sorta agree with this secret. I agree that Nathan and Duke have great chemistry and think their scenes together are some of the best in the series. I even subscribe to basically the same head-canon about their past, and I think other Nathan/Duke fans do too.

Also: there aren't many things I hate more than love triangles. They're just...incredibly cliché and usually awkward and I just don't like them, period. I feel this way about the Nathan/Audrey/Duke love triangle too.

Still, I could pretty much buy Nathan/Audrey/Duke as an OT3 (if Audrey expresses some romantic or sexual interest in Duke), but I'm not interested in it right now because the Audrey/Duke angle does nothing for me. That said, I love the way the show has handled Nathan/Audrey, find them adorable and think they compliment one another perfectly, but still find myself fascinated by Nathan/Duke and want that to go somewhere (even if it is, like you said, just a mention of a past relationship).

So...I'm in a odd place with this show (Since, as I've said before, I'm not really a multi-shipper), but I sorta agree. I wouldn't be at all surprised if Nathan and Duke's relationship this season is further strained because of their feelings for Audrey, and I'm so not looking forward to that. They find enough reasons to fight as is.

Same here! I really thought they were moving away from the triangle idea. It just doesn't work, IMO, and isn't necessary for this show. But some of the facial expressions and attitudes in the premiere suggest they haven't given up on that idea entirely and...sigh. I'm so sick of triangles in general. And I'm tired of Nathan and Duke having strain. They're so much fun when they're getting along better.

MTE. Also, I can't see Audrey returning Duke's feelings, and there's probably a 2% chance that Nathan/Duke will ever be considered or mentioned in a serious manner, so Duke really seems like the odd one out -- which is just depressing.

Plus, DNW them fighting over Audrey; Audrey is the one who helped to bring them back together, and it's lame that they would let their feelings for her tear them apart again. (Granted, like I said, she isn't their only issue by far, but them going there is most likely going to be frustrating. I just hope it doesn't get much attention and make this season a train-wreck.)

They're so much fun when they're getting along better.

I like them best when they're being civil to each other, or when they're pretending to hate each other yet clearly enjoying each others company and worrying about each others safety. Hope we get a lot more of that this season.
