Maybe it was an indirect way to get your attention, lady/dude
I mean, does she know of your opinion on "review whoring"?
It could be also a way to open the dialogue, test the waters etc.
Just write an honest comment to her fic and look where it takes you imo.

I used to. No response. They reviewed tiny old ficlets on several different occasions. It took a few times for me to catch on when and why they were doing it.
