It's not like pre-Norman kings really identified actual magic-users and eliminated them, anyway. Or like basically any of the plots would work in something resembling an actual pre-Norman period.

The show has tomatoes, glasses, high heels, and beer cans (among soooo many other things) in 5th century Britain. And that's before you get into all the magic and stuff. It's basically Anachronism Stew personified.

So no one knows how it's supposed to work.

I agree with the general sentiment of this secret - as much as I love Arthur, he's really as thick as Merlin keeps implying - but "so there" makes it difficult for me to take this seriously. Like, at all.

lolol I'm forever torn between loving this dumb show to death and wanting to kill myself after every new episode but this secret entertains me. Arthur is a pretty faily king though. The best thing for Camelot at this point would be for Gwen & Morgana to just take over and run it fabulously.
