I always felt that Guinan was a bit cheesy and a bit goody two shoes, but she wasn't as irritating as Deanna Troi or Crusher. I never felt there was chemistry with Picard and any of the women really.

Agreed. No ROMANTIC chemistry, anyway. He's not a Captain Kirk. He never seemed to fit the role of the romantic male lead even in episodes where he was cast as such. His relationship with Guinan is really interesting, though. I do think they have a lot of platonic chemistry. Which is more than I can say for the other ladies. Crusher annoys the shit out of me, period. I do really like Deanna most of the time, but she's at her best when she's acting on her own... she and Picard have exactly the right kind of chemistry as two people who have a professional relationship as part of a highly-trained military/scientific group. But as lovers? Hahahahahaha NO.

AYRT yes I agree he has chemistry with other characters, I think a lot with Data. See my comment below, Crusher is cringewothy. I find Deanna irritating, but it's the way she's written, what is that accent? The actress has a North London accent and she sounds so odd in the show. Also those cleavage enhancing leotards, it was difficult for her to be taken seriously from the start really.

AYRT Oh my God she is so dull. Polaski was much more interesting. She's also thick as shit. I still laugh when I think of her, the doctor, not getting Picard's message when he was a borg, and needing to be told he was trying to get them to get the borg to sleep, he wasn't just needing a bit of a rest.
