Wow. I was never in the fandom, so it never occurred to me that people wouldn't like Guinan. I wonder why? Personally, I'm not really a Whoopi Goldberg fan, but I liked Guinan.

And that's interesting about P/C being "the" TNG ship - I didn't know that either. I'm not a fan, so I guess it's good I never was in the fandom. I just am not really a fan of Beverly. Actually, it'd be more accurate to say that I'm not a fan of Gates McFadden's acting (not going to call her a bad actress - just saying it didn't work for me).
