you would have a point if anime adaptations of good ongoing manga weren't almost universally mediocre to fucking awful. this is pretty much a fact anime and manga fans have accepted at this point, same with anime to manga adaptations.

especially when they stay true to the manga until the point where they've caught up, and then it's really obvious where the completely different anime ending comes in.

"the manga is better" is a really valid thing to say in circumstances like that. D.N.Angel is one of those circumstances.

I know it's a valid thing to say. Most of the manga I enjoy I much prefer over the anime versions. I'm just worried that people bashing something another person enjoys is a great way to scare them off. I think we can say "Have you tried the manga? It fleshes out the characters much more and goes more into [blank]" without going "this thing that you like is horrible."
