I can't be the only one who wants more movie!lesbians to be unambiguously into women. Sexuality is confusing enough IRL, I just wanna see some happy ladies being together and in love and all that.

I talked to a girl who said the reason that happens in mainstream media is because it's "boring" to explore a lesbian relationship and that it's just good storytelling to experiment with a character's sexuality and not homophobic at all.

I guess that's why you only ever see heterosexual people only hook up with same sex partners on tv.

Yeah... for all the, "sexuality is fluid, and people experiment, and people aren't 100% gay or straight!"; when it comes to the media, 99.9% of the characters who go outside their stated sexuality are gays being attracted to/having sex with/etc. people of the opposite sex. Where's all the sexuality fluidity/experimentation/not 100%-ness when it comes to straight people?
