lots of kink meme secrets today! weird!

anyone have a favourite/least favourite kink meme? any fandoms you wish had one or wish had one that was more active?

I'm not sure if it's still going, but while Tiger & Bunny was airing, their kink meme was amazing, and definitely my favorite kink meme experience. So much great fic, including rare pairs and gen, and everyone was really fun and cool and creative.

I wish Community had a more active kink meme, as every time someone tries to do one, it dies and pretty much only the Jeff/Annie prompts get filled. I also wish there was one for female J-Pop idol groups, but I just wish there was more fic for that fandom in general.

The Tiger & Bunny kink meme is still going, except on dreamwidth now. However...it's also the worst one I've ever seen, with lots of petty arguments and wank and ridiculous OOC.

Such a sad fall for a once great meme. :(

I think the only one of my fandoms that has an active kink meme are Bioware games (Dragon Age and Mass Effect in particular). Chrono Crusade has a loan kink meme that was abandoned in 2007, and the Princess Tutu kink meme was never particularly active either. Although at least it had a few fills. And I don't know that many people that even read World Embryo...

I probably should seek out the bigger fandoms for stuff I like but big fandoms intimidate me a little so I'm a little screwed |D; Plus I'm a little lost in how to find active fandom communities now that fandom's mostly migrated to tumblr.

I loke the Hetalia kink meme just because it's so massive and there's a wide variety of prompts. It's been slowing down though, so I'm a bit concerned.

I also have high hopes for the Red vs Blue kink meme, but I can't actually look at it because I'm not caught up yet and have already seen three pretty major spoilers - two of them on the kink meme.

As for what fandoms I wish had a kink meme?...every single one of them. Sigh.

Back when I was actually visiting them, the Sherlock and X-Men: First Class kink memes were great. (Well, many WIP's were abandoned on the First Class kink meme, but the overall quality of the fills was wonderful.)

Would kill for an active Stargate Atlantis kink meme, or Young Avengers kink meme. And I'd just like more Gears of War slash in general (don't even need the kink meme!), because there's not much fic out there at all and what there is tends to be het or self insert. (I want Cole Train/Baird, dammit!)

SGA kinkmeme was so disappointing. So much kink in the fandom yet so little activity on an actual kinkmeme. Prob because it started as the fandom was dying/slowing down.

Oh god, SGA kink meme. It was probably because most fans already moved on...and the Mitchell/Sheppard fans moved in. Which turned me even more off the kink meme and I didn't fill anything. Ugh. I know I know ship and let ship, but Mitchell/Sheppard fans are up there with Sparkies in horrible fan behaviour towards people who ship other things.

Least favourite would have to be Supernatural (or the SPN kink memes I can find, anyway). If you're not a Jared/Jensen, Dean/Sam or (at a push) Cas/Dean fan, you're pretty screwed.

Finding a prompt that's not either of those is hard enough. Finding a prompt that isn't, and that has been filled, is practically impossible.

I was in a community based single pairing kink meme, and for the duration of it (there was a de-anoning at the end), EVERY SINGLE PROMPT GOT FILLED.

I'm sad that the kink meme I run isn't active. (And it wasn't even my fault; it was the fault of inattentive mods that bickered with people in the meme and/or ignored the meme for months.) And yet I'm glad because of how gross the show has gotten over the years.

I wish the DMC kink meme had even been active. There was only a couple of pages of prompts, and a handful of fills, even when the fandom was active.


also, if anyone wants to link to any active part of the DMC fandom I'd love you forever...

Norsekink basically drove me to fits of hysterical rage the few times I dared venture onto it. That was really embarrassing and I'd rather not dwell on the fact that something so harmless and silly induced such a reaction.

The Neverending Sherlock Holmes Kinkmeme O' Doom that erupted after the 2009 movie was really excellent when it came to prompt-to-fill ratio. Also the smut was frickin' hot. Like, really hot. And actually smutty. No AU supernatural bullshit.

I will never understand how the XMFC kinkmeme(s) got overrun by slutty pregnant Charles, but IDGAF because I'm laughing too hard and the entire thing is a giant gob of sweetness and light.

Avengerkink is a smutty mixed bag of rage inducing idiocy and batshit insane adorable polyamorous cotton candy and gloriously self-indulgent hurt-comfort idfic, and the tropes it has produced (there is an entire genre of fic referred to as "Tony-has-to-sexually-degrade-himself-to-save-the-Avengers-from-the-villain") are frickin' hilarious when viewed from a distance, but I think it's strength is in its gen prompts -- those are quite often very cool and thought-provoking.

This isn't an actual kinkmeme, but there was a How I Met Your Mother darkfic meme that produced an impressive volume of some shockingly good darkfic for a frickin' sitcom.

I was pleasantly surprised by the Big Time Rush kinkmeme - first of all that it actually existed and that there was a larger than expected amount of good fic.
The American Idol kinkmeme was also rather good, iirc, but it's been a while.
The one that disappointed me were mostly Glee and Supernatural, but that was because I got squicked SO MANY TIMES when I was there that I just stopped looking.

I have a soft spot for my time on the Ace Attorney kink meme. Joined it around part 8 and stuck with it for a few months.

At first I was only reading gen to PG-13 stuff, but then one fic had a surprise!handjob and was my introduction to reading porn. Fun times.

I've been to very few, but of what I HAVE visited:

-Assassin's Creed was, mostly, a letdown. Way oversaturated with Altaïr/Malik and Ezio/Leonardo.
-Deus Ex: Human Revolution's pretty much died before it began. Only one fic on there that I actually like.
-Mass Effect... yeah not everyone likes this one, but I love it. Sometimes it can be too much of one pairing, but that aside, it generally entertains.

The GB/RGB/EGB kinkmeme never got terribly kinky and had a prompter/filler imbalance, but it was fun while it lasted and technically isn't closed.

The StarCon II kinkmeme only ever had about six prompts and two fills, and I wrote two of the prompts.

Most other kink-promptathons I've been in were multifandom and thus more porn battles than kinkmemes. I tend to run in small fandoms that are too small to support a kinkmeme (see above).
