Why isn't this in the N!S thread? The potential for wank for this not-secret that has nothing to do with any fandom is really high. It looks like all of the comments are bashing Romney and Ryan right now but I doubt it will stay that way. Republicans use the internet, too.

This. It always pisses me off when one side acts like they are so above reproach and as if the other side doing to them exactly what they do themselves makes them innocent little victims. Please, NEITHER party is in any way above reproach. I do not get this mindset that the Dems are all caring and helping. Bitches, they want to control you just as much as the Repubs do, they just go about it differently.

Honestly? It's mostly the republicans that call foul. When Obama did poorly the democrats copped to it-in spades. When Ryan did poorly, what did they do? Baww about how mean Biden was ;^;

I don't think Ryan did poorly at all, and this is coming from someone who is generally not a fan of the Republican party. Honestly, I don't see how people could think he did a *poor* job. You could disagree with what was said, and there was obviously some dodging, but I thought for the most part he gave a good performance. He appeared composed and articulate, which is a lot more than could be said for the first Obama debate.

Why? It's been my experience that people outside of the US are more informed about the candidates than most Americans are. They have no business voting, but of course they can enter into a discussion about American politics just as Americans can enter into a discussion about the politics in other countries.
