Once you become pregnant, you share a body with the baby. So there are two lives to think of, not just one.

No. "Share" implies a voluntary arrangement. Once you become pregnant, your body is being occupied by a baby. Why should it be able to remain there if the woman it is occupying doesn't consent?

Because the baby did not ask to be born; it is an innocent in the situation. Its only alternative is death.

As tragic as that is, why should a woman be forced to surrender her rights to save another person's life? The baby's innocence or guilt is immaterial here; what's relevant is whether the baby has the right to force a woman to accept the non-consensual occupation of her body. Last I knew, no one has that right, no matter the stakes.

I suppose it comes down to personal morals. No one should be "forced" to save another's life, though I hope most would want to. I personally cannot fathom how one could willingly kill a child, even if she does possess the legal right to do so. In a situation like this I guess you have to separate morals from logic, but is an incredibly difficult thing to do.

That's fine. If you ever find yourself in that situation, you can make the choice that you feel is morally correct. What's being disputed here is whether you (or anyone else) has the right to force other women to make the same choice you would.

But that's not a baby and not a child, it's just a tiny mass of flesh, nothing more and nothing less. It doesn't yet have a consciousness or the ability to feel emotions or sensations, it's basically and egg which will never be hatched by a hen. I'm not saving a little chick's life by not eating eggs. By that logic, every single man on this planet kills millions of babies every time they masturbate.

By that logic, the only creatures which are alive are those with a heartbeat. Plants aren't alive, insects don't have traditional heartbeats, so they aren't living creatures. And a heartbeat still doesn't change the fact that it still doesn't have a consciousness and the ability to feel emotions (or even the ability to feel instincts), which are, depending on which species we are talking about, also the requirements of life.
