I don't really like Doctor/Master but I agree with your Doctor/River points. And what bothers me more then anything is that it isn't really acknowledged how fucked up it is.

But then Moffat probably doesn't see it as a problem that River's entire identity is dependent on the Doctor. Moffat has pretty messed up views on women.
