I think it would be pretty messed up if we lived in a world where we weren't allowed to be inspired by someone because of their race. It's not like you're preventing other people from looking up to her, so it's not stealing.

There was a secret a while back about someone's friend telling them they couldn't have a certain super hero for a favorite character because the character was black and the person was white. So, yeah, while it shouldn't, that attitude does exist.

Oh, I'm not denying it exists (I remember that secret, and nothing surprises me anymore when it comes to weird things people believe). I'm just saying OP shouldn't buy into it.
