As someone from America, we have telethons for lots of different causes, but I can honestly say that I have never heard of a collection for the LGBTQ community. Unfortunately, too many Americans are ass backwards on this issue. :(

Really? I've always found it weird that Norway where Church and State is one we kinda went, "gays can't marry? We didn't know this, let us make it happen!" and that was it really, we have discussions about same sex couples having children, but more along the lines of who are supposed to pay for it. And surrogates aren't legal in Norway for anyone.

(I am still pretty shocked about the way you guys do your election campaign to be honest, but it is not my place to tell another culture how to act)

In fact, the first thing I thought of was the Salvation Army bellringers. Probably the most prevalent and recognizable charities around and...yeah.
