Re: BioShock Infinite
ANYWAY, blatant fangirling aside, I too am curious to see what kind of horror aspects will be in this game. I don't really have anything worthy of contribution to the discussion, haha, except to say that wow the boys of silence and the handymen already freak me out just from the trailers!
on another note, my favorite part of this new footage is all the other shots of Columbia we get to see. I absolutely loved Rapture from a worldbuilding and aesthetic standpoint and I also would've loved the chance to see and explore more of it than what we did, and the thought that we might get that chance with Columbia -- by virtue of it being an open-air environment instead of strictly enclosed buildings and tunnels, if nothing else -- really excites me more than just about anything else with this game.
Re: BioShock Infinite
ugh ugh I need this game come on february hurry up and get here already
I hear you! The only reason I'm glad that the game got pushed back is because so many other games were scheduled to be released at the end of this year. And now most of them have been pushed back to early next year... :/ Thanks, guys. Oh so helpful as I don't have unlimited money.
I can't recall anything too scary from the trailers, which is why I was a little worried, but...that will probably change in the game. After all, a huge part of BioShock's horror factor comes from the setting and the atmosphere, and I have faith they'll do a good job with both of those.

Me too! Not that I don't enjoy shooting people in the face with shotguns, but my most fond memories of BioShock games have nothing to do with the game-play itself and more to do with the story and how fascinating the world is and the characters in it are. So looking forward to that.
Super glad to get a response to this and know that someone else is excited about it too! EEEEEE. Also, your icon is gorgeous. Is it snaggable?Re: BioShock Infinite

Re: BioShock Infinite
and tbh I think the scariest part of it all is going to be the ever-present tension that some part of the city is just going to fall apart and drop right out of the sky. how's that for atmospheric horror...!
...Welp, now I want to piss my pants. *is horribly afraid of heights*
Sometimes in video games it doesn't bother me, and I feel like the rail system will probably be good enough that I won't have to worry about falling to my death constantly, but...uh, agreed.
(Yay! Will do, thanks. :D)
