Agreed.

I think the movement could have some important things to say regarding the systematic failures in promoting a healthy diet, and the extent to which thanks to a complicated array of factors it can be very difficult for individuals to lose weight.

However, I think the fact of the matter is the obesity rates are a social evil that needs to be solved, and that we've become so detached to what normal people should look like that your average person doesn't have a clue what they should weigh, or what proper exercise actually is.

The answer to this is education, shifts in government policy, and such though - not shaming.

And to be quite honest, I think the health of those around us is are concern, no man is an island and etc.
