Same anon as before. I agree that the romance is relatively low-key in so far as it doesn't take up half the movie. However, the feeling I get from all their scenes together is that everyone involved in making these movies wants us to think that Tony and Pepper are ~supposed to be together~ and are just a perfect happy couple now. I don't know, maybe it's because I'm a comic fan and to me it's just OBVIOUS that Tony and Pepper should break up sooner or later, and the movies never gave me the impression that that was going to happen. The movies make them look like they're perfect and happy now and will live happily ever after. I know that comics =/= movie and I'm okay with changes, but somehow this one bothered me. I like Tony Stark as this guy who's seriously fucked up emotionally, even after getting 'better', and incapable of having a proper relationship.
