But...he wasn't the villain in that piece.

That's kinda debatable.
He comes across as a jerk. (A smolderingly hot jerk, but a jerk.)
imho, both him and Rumple were the villians in that episode.

Yeah, he kind of was. He humiliated Rumplestilskin and told him that he'd kidnapped his wife. Rumple really had no reason not to believe him. He gave him a choice of fighting (which certainly meant being killed, because Rumple had no fighting skills) or losing his wife, whom, despite everything, he still loved. Meanwhile he had a child to protect and think of. That's basically emotional torture.

Wendy was pretty much of a dick, too. Abandoning her husband and child because she was bored with them. Running away and pretending that she was kidnapped rather than face her husband and child and simply own up that she was abandoning them, so they wouldn't feel it was their fault.

Now Rumple did become a villan himself and got revenge. But considering what those two put him through, it it felt pretty poetic.

Rumplestiltskin's wife wasn't Wendy, was she? Her name was Milah. But, yeah, agree with everything else.

I think it's kind of a matter of perspective. He was a jerk and an antagonist for Rumple. But to Milha he rescued her from a life she never wanted. I actually thought he was really sweet to her. Not that leaving her son without a word was the best way to handle that situation but I felt for her.
And considering the cruelty Rumplestiltskin showed when he met her again I was definitely rooting for Hook.

The Jolly Roger is the name of Hook's ship, at least in the book and Disney movie.

The eyeliner is incredibly sexy imo. ~~...And I still need to watch this episode, so I can't comment on shipping.~~

If only he had a bit more personality. I think he might end up with Regina, personally, considering their backstories....

/OffTopic I predict Rumple will be Ursula when Ariel's story comes around. Might as well make him all the leftover villains anyway, since he's not only the Beast but the croc as well. (I know Beast wasn't a villain perse, but he was still a dick at first!)

He is ridiculously hot and I can't wait for more of him in the role.

Especially because I wasn't crazy about the episode he was introduced in, but I hate Rumpel/Belle and it didn't help that Belle almost redeemed her character but-oh-wait not really and now I hate her still.

Wait so...if Rumpel was hot would it change things? I mean, Hook is a douche that ran off with a married woman-a married woman who had a CHILD. "Lol Fuck my son, time to get laid pirate style ;D"

They were both a-holes to be honest. And now he's working with Kora, someone who did the exact same thing Rumpel did to someone else's love. He's a douche and a hypocrite.

When I first saw the promo for this, I didn't realize it was an OUaT ad; I thought 'Hey, new pirate movie coming out. And this time the lead's actually hot!'

I wish I had found him half as attractive as Jason Isaacs in Peter Pan. I hope he grows on me, 'cause I love Hook.
