(Anonymous) 2012-10-29 03:12 pm (UTC)(link)Did someone ask for a recs post??????
From The Avengers comes "The Soft Star-Shine At Night" by the awesome margo_kim. If anyone's interested, the ghost in question is Yinsen.
Unfortunately, that's the only rec I can think of off the top of my head because I happened to be discussing this very author just yesterday. Which is strange because I'm really into Star Wars fandom and logically there ought to be a whole lot of force-ghost action going on there. But I never really thought about "ghostfic" as a category/genre, so...eh. Whatever.

...not that I'm complaining. There can never be enough zombie apocalypse/space opera/wizard AUs. Or implausible crossovers.

(Anonymous) 2012-10-29 03:02 am (UTC)(link)And those that are often seem to like the actual death and the effect on the surviving people rather than what happens to the character after death.

(Anonymous) 2012-10-29 06:50 am (UTC)(link)There are only two that I've read that have stayed with me, but they're both amazing.
NCIS: http://www.fanfiction.net/s/3242093/1/October-Country
Supernatural; 'Sam I Am': http://metamorphagi.livejournal.com/56768.html
