Yeah, Mulgrew's made no secret of the fact that she doesn't like J/7, and that may be partially due to it being femmeslash, but it also may be because she doesn't seem to like Jeri Ryan very much, period, but I'd rather not open that can of worms. Anyway, I don't like it when actors disparage my preferred ships much either, but I respect that they have the right to their own opinions (especially on matters such as this) and I just prefer to avoid bringing shipping up to them in the first place unless I know they're okay with it. At any rate, character =/= actor, so I'd try not to let it affect your view of the ship itself.

By the way, speaking of J/7, if you're on LJ you should come join jslash7. We could do with some fresh meat new members. /shameless self-promotion.

(Some of them are probably disliking her because of how much they dislike the people who do like Jeri Ryan.)
