(Anonymous) 2012-10-29 11:49 am (UTC)(link)Lacus Curtius is absofuckinglutely fantastic for the major ancient Roman & Greek sources, esp. Plutarch. Seriously, you've no idea how much trouble it's saved me. It doesn't have everything, but it's got a great selection. Of course, this is if you don't mind the Loeb translations, but it sure beats traipsing to the library.

Seconding the hell out of JSTOR.
I'm not great with modern sources, but things like your country's war memorial (online) might be helpful, depending on which period you wanted to study.
