Manly Men do Manly Things or whatever it was called. I admit i was a little soured by that comic where she made fun of Kuja in the wrong way, but besides that it sort of stopped being funny. To be honest the only really funny parts were the pokemon ones.

I came this close to dropping The Less than Epic Adventures of TJ and Amal. And I mean the last chance I gave it was the update when something big finally happened. Still feeling a bit conflicted about it tbh, but at least now I'm interested in where it's going again.

Ha! I was reading that earlier today trying to pinpoint exactly when I stopped liking it.

Yeah, it's just not funny is the biggest one. It started by making fun of "tough guys" without being too negative, and then it branched out into other jokes (like the Pokemon ones), and then it just sort of became a story comic about her made-up Gary Stu character and his girlfriend and her platforming on what is or isn't "manly" or acceptable, and it just degraded really fast.

Penny Arcade can still be funny, but only occasionally. Too often it's used as either a phony attempt to do some kind of "real" art with a short storyline, or just stops referencing video games altogether. The best comics are the one-shot ones about video games, not the little quasi-storylines.
