Interesting assumption to make.

(Anonymous) 2012-11-03 09:28 pm (UTC)(link)
If someone says they can ship M/F/M but not F/F/F or M/M/M, what other assumption is one to make?

(Anonymous) 2012-11-03 09:33 pm (UTC)(link)
Tbh, most of the m/m/m ships I've seen are kind of shallow and stupid compared to the m/m/f ones. So.

(Anonymous) 2012-11-03 09:34 pm (UTC)(link)
"So."

That ending totally sold your argument.

(Anonymous) 2012-11-03 09:36 pm (UTC)(link)
But what if one of the three guys put on a pretty dress and started knitting sweaters for his boyfriends?

(Anonymous) 2012-11-03 11:09 pm (UTC)(link)
Lol hilarious joke bro. You probably read like one gay threesome

YOUR EROTICA IS JUST PORN. AND THAT'S JUST FINE SNOWFLAKE.

[personal profile] anonymouslyyours 2012-11-03 11:16 pm (UTC)(link)
Yeah M/M/F are deep and spiritual affairs of the mind, body, spirit.

Sweet frosted baby cheesus you don't need a grand justification for liking one kind of porn over the other. So.

Sweet frosted baby cheesus

That sounds yummy. Sweet-cheesy goodness.

(Anonymous) 2012-11-03 10:00 pm (UTC)(link)
Actually, what the OP said is they can ship M/M and M/F/M, but not M/M/M.

(Anonymous) 2012-11-03 10:17 pm (UTC)(link)
Yeh, I got it mixed up with a commenter saying they can't ship M/M/M or F/F/F. Still, seems like OP thinks M/M/M is one penis too many, and that seems like a genital thing to me.

(Anonymous) 2012-11-03 10:24 pm (UTC)(link)
For me, M/M is just another couple I can love, but M/M/M starts giving off a sooper speshul Boy's Club vibe.

And that's due to the gender, not the genitals, because M/M/M when it's just porn and not a romantic relationship is super-hot and delicious for me, especially when it's two guys who are focused mainly on the third guy in the middle.

(Anonymous) 2012-11-03 10:31 pm (UTC)(link)
Writing all M/M/M relationships off as sooper speshul Boy's Club sounds a little bit offensive to me...

I think this is less about the actual M/M/M and more about the way it tends to get written. I slash and femmeslash almost exclusively but there's a point when all the guys are paired up with all the other guys and it starts giving off "only dudes can love and appreciate one other this well because they're guys" with sometimes added "and the women are bitches".

I read a little bit of MMF which I would distinguish from MFM, because MFM always seems to play out like a slash fangirl's ultimate fantasy, whereas the other has a bit more porn-y balance.

OP didn't say anything about F/F/F. Also, gender =/= one's genitals. I'm choosing to not make any assumptions because I don't know what OP's reasoning is.

(Anonymous) 2012-11-03 10:58 pm (UTC)(link)
Well, I'll happily make the assumption that OP thinks three peens is one peen too many. I don't believe slash fans think too deeply about things. so it's probably about the genitals.

Also, if you read above you'd have seen that I got the NO F/F/F from mixing OP up with a random comment.

Alright, you're just trolling. Have fun.

(Anonymous) 2012-11-03 11:31 pm (UTC)(link)
Not really. As a former 100 % M/M slash shipper who thought vaginas were icky, I can say that I didn't think too far beyond the genitals involved. A couple of M/F/M threesomes that appealed to me started to cure me of this, however, and now I'm better. But I still don't think most slash fans think beyond genitals, or they wouldn't bash female characters the way they do simply because they're female.

It seems like you have a very narrow view of "slash fans." You're talking about a subset of slash fans. Don't assume everyone ships characters like you did.

(Anonymous) 2012-11-03 11:59 pm (UTC)(link)
Are you saying I'm special? You're making me feel special. Not many people ship like I did, you say? That must mean I'm special. YAY!

Your implication that all or even most slash shippers are like that is...well, I find it hard to believe you really think that.

Is there a subset of slash shippers who are just cock-happy misogynists? Sure. But (and I mean hasn't this been rehashed a million times?) NOT ALL OF THEM.

Besides, the logic kind of fails. If the shipper in question is all PEEN PEEN PEEN, why would the addition of a third penis be problematic for them?

I love slash and vaginas. I'm all about the personalities. So by your line of reasoning I must be a special snowflake, although I highly doubt this to be true.

Hey, please don't speak for everyone. I'm a former 90% M/M shipper, and it was because 1) I don't really like M/F, 2) the canons I was interested in didn't have very well developed canon M/F relationships, and 3) the canons I was interested in didn't have very well developed female characters. And I'm not very interested in penises.

(Anonymous) 2012-11-04 03:16 am (UTC)(link)
..And you think het fans can't be misogynists? LMAO good joke.
